"Hello all you people of various places!!
Another week flies by and more are yet to come. Lets talk about the subject line first. this past week, Elder Theobald and I have been reading in the dictionary, a lot of words and their definitions. Every now and then, when we were not doing anything, we would flip through the pages of this big dictionary and read some random words. For example, taurine, C2H7NO3S. It is a substance in bile that helps with digestion. One of the definitions of the word fetch is the distance traveled in a boat across some body of water. Weird right? And the word set has a lot of different definitions as well. Reading them all is way boring. Trust me, I know.
So, in other news, there is going to be a mission wide meeting in about a week and a half! This is very strange as mission wide meetings were done away with in the last year for some reason. The reason that we are having one at all is because Elder Stevenson of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles is coming, along with Elder Kearon of the Presidency of the Seventy. I have no idea what this will be about, but I know that he will be having a lot of meetings for three days. I will report on that later I guess.
Thankfully there has not been that much rain this past week, but it got pretty close some days with the mist coming in. The temperature has been slowly dropping, but it is still warmer then Ohio is right now, so it really isn't that bad for me at all. Being in the 50's and 60's all day is way nice. Especially when we are walking around everywhere.
This past weekend was interesting because everyone was having their Halloween parties because of the weekend, so a lot of people were walking and driving around in their costumes. For Halloween, we are not allowed to go out after about 4 o the clock because of many reasons. One of them being that some people have been known to dress up like missionaries and do things that are not the nicest to do. So we will be gathering as a zone and watching a movie or something like that. It'll be fun.
There are these children's books that are the whole Book of Mormon but with pictures and a description of the picture under it. They go through the whole book and I found one of them in our apartment one night so I basically read the entire Book of Mormon in one night. It was a very interesting experience because having read it myself all of the way through, I was able to notice the stories that were left out. It was very fun to have a quick refresher of it because sometimes it is hard to visualize stories in the scriptures, and I have found that when you are able to visualize what you are reading, it really brings the story to life. Wow, that sounded really cliche, but it is true. Try it.
